Some forms are deeply beautiful in their fragility. To touch them is to destroy them. Ephemeral, temporary beauty, in every way, yet provocative and magnetic in their draw upon our hearts. Akin to the magnetism of our hearts to touch the petals of a flower in bloom. While knowing we could damage it and steal its life, we can barely resist. The beauty is found in the elegance of the form itself. This sculpture embodies this paper-thin fragility of life, alongside the desire to touch it. For me, a reminder of life in death. Fragile, yet eternal.
