We are all earthen vessels. Pieces of clay pottery, created under the hand of masters, and for me, the Master. Refined in the heat of life, the kilns have varied through the decades. Presented for service, we live and move, and life may shatter us. Yet, that shattering allows the light to shine through. May we not be afraid of the brokenness that allows others to see us in our imperfect state, so long as they see the Light shining through.

We were not designed to carry our own glory; we were designed to reveal His. “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us”. 2 Corinthians 4:7

Humanity is a treasure in clay vessels. The broken parts of our being allow the glory of God to shine through.
